I need default language without prefix and without redirecting.

Is it possible to use the folder setup for the i18n plugin but have the default language without a prefix?
This solution seems normal to me.

I'm trying to remove default language from permalinks via the directory data file: permalink: "{{ page.filePathStem | replace('/en/', '/') }}.html" and set errorMode to allow-fallback in i18n plugin settings.

It looks functional enough. Can you think of any disadvantages?

I just came across that locale_url does not return the default address (even if it exists) if the specified address is in a language other than the default.
