Not recommended. A Nema 17 with 0.4 N·m torque is generally too weak for this application. Stringing requires stable and consistent pulling force, and sudden load changes are common — a smaller motor will struggle to maintain accuracy. For badminton stringing, the SGX series linear stage with a standard Nema 23 (57 motor) is the most reliable setup. If you're interested in experimenting or developing your own design, you can try it — but for a stable and proven setup, it's recommended to stick with SGX + Nema 23. |
