Original Project Pitch

##The Problem There is a need in Alaska. Cruise lines such as Princess, Norwegian, Holland, and others have been managing their off shore excursion accounts be sending Excel spreadsheets back and forth for the off shore excursion companies that they work with to fill out. This leads to many errors because of the slow response time and the number of copies of the same information going around. They lose track of customers, and they also run into scheduling conflicts which costs them lots of money. ##The Solution My proposal is to make a web service that handles all of this information in a single location. Also the web service would give them ease of use with additional functionality such as an automated scheduler to maximize scheduling of resources(Boats, buses, dining rooms, etc), tracking sales numbers, and ability to update when a boat may be down so everyone can adjust accordingly. This would be very marketable and I already know companies that would be interested in checking it out. ##Skills This project will need people with server and back end skills to people who are user-design friendly. HTML, CSS, and Javascript would be needed for frontend. Backend we will want to come up with a plan to keep it easy to maintain and sleek. If you choose this project, it could very easily be a project that develops into a continuing company past this semester. ##People Interested:
