Pre installation (Debian based)

Do yourself a favor and don't install wine from the official distro's repository. Go to the wine wiki and add the repository for your distro. The packages in the distro repositories are out of date. Also install winetricks.
Enable 32 bit packages (if you haven't already):
sudo dpkg --add-architecture i386
Download and install the repository key:
wget -nc https://dl.winehq.org/wine-builds/winehq.key
sudo apt-key add winehq.key
Create and open the following file with an editor:
/etc/apt/sources.list.d/winehq.list
Add the following line for Debian Bullseye:
deb https://dl.winehq.org/wine-builds/debian/ bullseye main
Make sure that you have the non-free repository enabled It's needed for SteamCMD.
Check the following file for this line of code (example for Bullseye):
cat /etc/apt/sources.list
deb https://deb.debian.org/debian bullseye non-free
If it's there and uncommented you're good to go.
Update the packages:
sudo apt update
Download the latest winetricks script, move it to /usr/bin and make it executable:
wget https://raw.githubusercontent.com/Winetricks/winetricks/master/src/winetricks
sudo mv winetricks /usr/local/bin/
sudo chmod +x /usr/local/bin/winetricks
sudo apt-get install bash coreutils sudo libpam-systemd grep sed gawk curl rsync wget findutils tmux zip unzip p7zip postfix s-nail cabextract xvfb steamcmd winehq-staging
