v0.5.0.0: Settings Navigation, Troubleshoot Page, and Launch Visuals

OmniConsole's settings have been completely refactored to use a multi-page navigation layout, allowing for future expansion. This update also introduces a new Troubleshoot page tailored for FSE recovery, adds launch visuals, and brings handheld optimized UI scaling.

✨ What's New in This Release

  • Settings Navigation Interface:

    • The Settings screen has been overhauled with a NavigationView (hamburger menu), separating options into "General" and new pages.
    • The app's current version number is now conveniently displayed at the bottom of the navigation pane.

  • Handheld Optimization:

    • The navigation menu's hamburger button and items have been scaled up to provide a better hit target for 7-inch touch screens and native handheld devices.

  • Troubleshoot Page for FSE Recovery:

    • Added a new "Troubleshoot" page featuring a "Reset GameBar & Enter FSE" button.
    • This provides an emergency recovery path for situations where the Windows Full Screen Experience (FSE) entry dialog ("Restart for better performance") fails to appear or gets stuck due to a Windows bug.

  • Enhanced Launch Visuals:

    • While a platform is launching, OmniConsole now displays the selected platform's icon along with an animated progress ring, improving the perceived responsiveness during transitions.

  • Gamepad Support:

    • All newly introduced UI elements, including the navigation pane, pages, and troubleshoot actions, are accessible using an Xbox controller (D-pad and A button).

🛠️ Installation Instructions

  1. Go to Settings → System → Advanced and enable Developer Mode.
  2. Download OmniConsole_0.5.0.0_x64.msix and OmniConsole_0.5.0.0_x64.cer from the Assets below.
  3. Double-click the .cer file → click Install Certificate → Store Location: Local Machine → Place all certificates in the following store → Browse → select Trusted People → Finish. (Skip this step if you already have the certificate installed)
  4. Double-click the .msix file to install.

⚙️ Prerequisites

  • Windows 11 24H2 (Build 26100.7019)+ with Full Screen Experience enabled.
  • Desktops & Laptops: Use Xbox Full Screen Experience Tool to enable FSE first.
  • Native Handheld Devices (e.g., ROG Xbox Ally series): FSE is natively supported. Install OmniConsole directly.

OmniConsole 的設定介面已全面重構，採用多頁面的導覽佈局，為未來的擴充作好準備。本次更新亦引進了專為修復 FSE 問題的疑難排解頁面、新增了啟動遊戲平台時的視覺回饋，並最佳化了掌機專用的 UI 尺寸。

    • 新增「疑難排解」頁面，提供「重設 GameBar 並進入 FSE」按鈕。
    • 若因 Windows 本身的 Bug 導致全螢幕體驗 (FSE) 進入對話方塊（「重新啟動以提升效能」）未出現或卡住，此設定能提供緊急的修復途徑。

  • 啟動視覺效果強化：

    • 在平台啟動的過渡期間，OmniConsole 現在會顯示所選平台的圖示與動畫進度環，提升轉場時的視覺回饋與流暢感。

  • 控制器支援：

    • 所有新加入的 UI 元素（包含導覽列、頁面切換與疑難排解功能）皆支援 Xbox 手把（方向鍵與 A 鍵）操作。

🛠️ 安裝說明

  1. 前往設定 → 系統 → 進階，啟用開發人員模式。
  2. 從下方 Assets 下載 OmniConsole_0.5.0.0_x64.msix 與 OmniConsole_0.5.0.0_x64.cer。
  3. 點兩下 .cer 檔案 → 點選安裝憑證 → 存放區位置選擇本機電腦 → 將所有憑證放入以下存放區 → 瀏覽 → 選擇受信任的人 → 完成。（若您之前已安裝過，則無需重複此步驟。）
  4. 點兩下 .msix 檔案進行安裝。

⚙️ 前置條件

  • Windows 11 24H2 (Build 26100.7019)+，且已啟用全螢幕體驗功能。
  • 桌上型電腦 / 筆記型電腦：請先使用 Xbox Full Screen Experience Tool 啟用 FSE 功能。
  • 原生掌機裝置（例如 ROG Xbox Ally 系列）：已原生支援 FSE，可直接安裝 OmniConsole。
