This is the first public release of Serv, a new Python web framework. We’re excited to share the following initial features:

  • Command-line Interface (CLI): Quickly generate new project structures with a simple command.
  • Extensible Architecture: Add functionality with a robust extension system supporting:
    • Routes
    • Middleware
    • Event listeners
    • Templates
  • Jinja2 Hierarchical Templates: Extend and override templates from extensions directly in your project root for flexible customization.
  • Dependency Injection: Powered by Bevy, enabling clean, modular code organization.

We invite you to try Serv out, explore its features, and share your feedback. Please remember that this is an early release and should be used with caution in production environments.
