Important bugfix update for Text Substitutions, a new script for managing locked files, and tweaks to the other scripts.

Changelog

General

  • All scripts have been updated with metadata that displays information in the Startup Scripts panel in Bridge's preferences
  • Various tweaks to make the headers, capitalization, and code more consistent between all the scripts

Text Substitutions

Major Changes

  • The folder substitutions are loaded from is no longer hardcoded to Bridge 2025 - it will now open the correct folder for the version of Bridge being used (as long as the version name follows the Adobe Bridge 20xx format).

Other Changes:

  • Added metadata for the Startup Scripts listing in Bridge's preferences window
  • Various code and presentation tweaks
  • Updated license year

New Script: Lock Tagger

Allows for the selection, unlocking, and tagging of locked files from a group of locked and unlocked files. When run on a selection, the script can do one of these things:

  • Select only the locked files
  • Unlock all locked files and tag them with one of these:
    • 0-5 Stars
    • "Reject" rating
    • Any of the color labels (or no label)

Make a selection then run the script from Tools > Tag Locked Files...

Installation

  1. Download the script of your choice
  2. Go to Preferences and select the "Startup Scripts" tab.
  3. Click "Reveal Scripts in Explorer"
  4. Place the script file in the folder that opens
  5. Restart Bridge
  6. When prompted upon restarting, choose to enable the script.
  7. If the script is not enabled, go to Preferences > Startup Scripts and enable the script, then restart Bridge
