A very good / beautiful application for YouTube and YouTube music all in one, a lot of stuff to work / rework but apart from that seriously on top the developer is active and responsive with a little time I am convinced that it will be the best app for this kind of use.

I dont think that need open issue for that btw when u play a video, only dislike show and u can safely remove the useless "report" button :)

i didn't put the likes in container to keep slim, so i added them in the description. i will add them to the container.
as for the report button i was planning to utilize it as report button that opens a issue directly in Github from the app, so that if something happens the user can directly report it. But now that i think about it, that may have been too ambitious, i don't think there is a way to make it happen unless it redirects the user to the issues page in Github. Removing it seems like a better option :)

@BrandQc thanks for reporting back, the shorts in the second image still show because i filter content below 1:20 minutes, but if i go higher a lot of videos from music artists won't show up as they have this range of duration. I will see if there is a specific tag i can filter out.

For the french translation i wasn't the one who did it, someone contributed to it and i don't know a lot of french to see if some words are not the proper ones to use. If you can point out the specific words that are " weird " it would be a big help, i will then update them.

And lastly for the performance, can you tell me what feels slow other than the music part and the shorts ? (I will remake the shorts from scratch soon)

Also i apologize if you're having a bad experience due to performance, i am doing the best i could to make the app faster :)

1.6.0 fix alot of issue

What i can see
Subscribes tabs
I have 80 subscribes, on newpipe, pipepipe, libretube its take exactly 1-3 seconds MAX for loading all news videos but with flow its take 20-30 seconds MIN for load new videos and not all are listed if i compare with all other ytclient

Shorts nothing to say you have been fixed the issue
Music a well better still take some times to load but is fairly reasonable
for the music player can put a download button next to the heart or put an option for autodownload when you like

Importing playlists for music and videos are planned, i will work on them soon, as i was also planning a community playlist support where users can share there playlists using a export/import workflow, and other users can fetch/download the exported json of the playlist and import it on their device.

Also for the Spotify sync do you mean logging in your account to get data ? If so this contradicts the app's no login philosophy for privacy.

But i will add a import from Spotify if possible, so that users can import their playlists and use them.

You can take inspiration form Namida to improve the UI of the Youtube Part form Namida and it was very good ui and features as a yt client

Also can you change the player to something inspired from the design in the screenshots.
I think it is a interesting and fresh concept as player of Many apps like Metrolist,Vivi Music and many other looks almost the same.
As I myself use both the app and it becomes very difficult to differentiate between them

Also for Music Part you can make use of Floating Navbar just like google uses in Gmail for Chats.It can be very helpful and can include many functions and features

Couple small things that I'm not sure are worthy of bug reports or not.

1. When typing in the search bar, the bottom portion of letters is cut off. For example, the word "joyful" looks like "iovful".

2. This could be a matter of personal preference, I'm not sure, but after hitting the magnifier icon to finalize a search, I think focus should be removed from the search bar and the keyboard should disappear. As it stands now, I enter a search and have to close the keyboard myself to view the results.

3. A couple issues with video counting. When going to a creator's page, the upload count is generally listed at 30 until I scroll down far enough for it to update to 60, 90, 120, etc. Haven't looked at the code but I'm guessing you've got a recyclerview that populates in 30 video increments? That's fine for the view itself, but the listed number of videos should reflect the total uploads, not the total currently loaded. Also playlists will sometimes list as having a negative number of videos. When opened, sometimes there are no videos at all, and sometimes there's a pending live video. Not sure what the cause of that one is.

4. I'm also seeing videos that, on NewPipe or even YT itself open as full videos, but in Flow open as shorts. Seems to be pretty common with new movie trailers.

5. I'm enjoying having an algorithm back, though it tends to conflate names with topics. Example: I follow a digital artist named Hossein Diba, and Flow likes to recommend me any videos with the words "Hossein" or "Diba" in the title. I've just been marking the suggested videos as "not interested", but I'm wondering if there's a way to exclude the uploader's name from the algorithm's parameters?

Overall I'm really enjoying the app. Thanks so much for all your hard work!

hello, in the app i don't force a specific language to fetch the title with, it is from the newpipe extractor that gets the data, someone on reddit asked me about it and he compared between my app and newpipe and both had the same result even though the region he set in the app settings is non english. so the titleis fetched like that from the extractor not my app.

@ITSZXY Although I haven't tried it myself, I've seen many threads about it on reddit, and in my opinion the app is incredible, multi-platform has and multi-providers, really impressive work from the devs working on it and the time they put into handling all these providers.
I am struggling with one provider 😂.

If i had known about Kotlin multi-platform before i made the app i would've made it with a complete new architecture that can build on multiple platforms but its too late now to change it as it needs a really large refactor to support desktop. That said, I've working on a new Desktop client for the past month and a half built with rust+tauri( react used for UI which is way easier to work with coming for a Web dev background ) and it is scheduled to release by the of June if i finish it by that time and make sure that everything is stable.

It exists put as a private repo, and i was going to make it public but youtube broke the streams and enforced SABR instead of DASH making the new client unusable at the moment.

It is still unrefined and lacks 70% of the features

Hello, i'm sorry but a sync feature would require a google auth (login) support which is out of scope for this app. There is no secure and tracker free way to add google login which stands against the main reason the app was built in the first place.
