TipTap
TipTap
Select. Tap. Done.
TipTap is a minimal text action tool for macOS.
Select text anywhere, and TipTap automatically shows a compact action bar for quick actions such as copy, search, translation, dictionary lookup, opening links, and more.
It lives quietly in the menu bar and stays out of your way.
Features
- Copy / Paste / Cut
- Search selected text
- Open links
- Open links with a selected browser
- Reveal local paths in Finder
- Translate with Bob
- Look up words with the macOS system Dictionary using the classic inline popover
By default, the popover is collapsed into a small TipTap badge button.
Click the badge to expand the full action bar.
In Settings, you can:
- Enable or disable individual actions
- Switch the collapsed mode on or off
- Add excluded apps
TipTap will not show the popover inside apps on the exclusion list.
Philosophy
TipTap is built around one simple idea:
Select text, choose an action, and keep moving.
No heavy interface.
No unnecessary interruptions.
Just fast, useful text actions when you need them.
