ActivateSlideshows

A Joomla! extension comprising a component and a module to create and display multiple slideshows.

Installation

1. Download the latest stable release (https://github.com/ActivateMedia/ActivateSlideshows/releases/download/1.0.0/pkg_activate_slideshows.zip).
2. Upload and install it on your Joomla! platform.

Usage

1. In you Joomla! backend, go in Components / Activate Slideshows
2. Create a new slideshow (+New)
3. Set a title, a description (not required) and upload the images

Display in the frontend

1. In you Joomla! backend, go in Extensions / Module Manager.
2. Create a new instance of the 'Activate Slideshows' module.

There are different layouts for the frontend module:

• Simple Bootstrap 3 carousel - with following features: linkable slide, slide effect, auto start, auto cycle, time interval, pause on hover, enable caption, enable dots nav, enable arrows controls
• Bootstrap 3 carousel with thumbnails navigation - displays a bootstrap carousel with captions, dots and arrows navigation plus a powerful navigation underneath with all the thumbnails (you can set a maximum number of thumbnails, if there are more, they will slide themselves).
• Showcase - displays a grid of images (eg. logos) you can choose number of rows and columns.
• Slideshows gallery - it's a slideshow of slideshows, it's a bootstrap carousel with the featured image of the slideshow, its title and description. Clicking the slideshow you will reach the page with only the selected slideshow.
• More slideshows - displays a section with all the slideshows, it comes with an AJAX loading effect 'Load more'.

3. Select the layout you need in Advanced > Layout
4. Select the slideshow (or multiple slideshows if you are using the 'slideshow-gallery' layout) in Module > Slideshows
5. Choose you desidered settings for the carousel (slide, time, pause on hover, etc)
6. Set the module position, status published and Save
