Does Adept have Generics?

I have known about $T for a while but I don't see Generics being mentioned on README.md. This makes me wonder whether Adept really supports Generics?

Yes generics are supported with $T etc.

They are like C++ templates

Functions like template<typename T> void f(T value){ /* ... */ } would be translated as func f(value $T) { /* ... */ }

Structs like template<typename T> struct Box { T data; } would be translated as struct <$T> Box (value $T)

And you can multiple, just like C++ templates:

record <$First, $Second> Pair (first $First, second $Second)

func combine(valueA $A, valueB $B) <$A, $B> Pair = Pair(valueA, valueB)

You said it's like C++ templates then it's evaluated at compile time, unlike Generics that is evaluated at runtime? By Generics I mean C#'s Generics, not Java.

They are evaluated at compile time yes. Not dynamic dispatch generics.
