Assertions in Adept

Does Adept have something equivalent to C's assert and C++'s static_assert?

There are runtime assertions like C's assert which you can use like this:

import assertions  // Provides standard `__assertion_failed__` handlers

func main {
    this_is_true bool = true
    this_is_false bool = false

    // With no message
    assert this_is_true
    assert this_is_false

    // With additional custom message
    assert this_is_true, 'Expected this_is_true to be true'
    assert this_is_false, "Expected this_is_false to be false" + "!"
}

However, there isn't support for something like C++'s static_assert. Closest thing would be the preprocessor:

#end
