How to install dysnomia for Mac?

For Mac, Dysnomia comes apparently in a folder with other files (that may be needed) but putting the folder into the GSASII directory is not sufficient. There should be a preference variable for Dysnomia, as there is for other external programs and the documentation should be improved to better describe how to install it.

Thanks for your prompt reply. I tried to run Dysnomia in GSAS-II in Windows machine, and it works. I compared the Dysnomia binary files (Mac) v.s. exe files (Win), see screenshot below. I think we can simply add the line below to consider the case of Mac like

GSAS-II/GSASII/GSASIIphsGUI.py

Line 5866 in 5fac707

DYSNOMIA = os.path.join(path2GSAS2,'Dysnomia','Dysnomia64.exe')

such as:

if Windows:
    DYSNOMIA = os.path.join(path2GSAS2,'Dysnomia','Dysnomia64.exe')  
if Mac:
    DYSNOMIA = os.path.join(path2GSAS2,'Dysnomia','Dysnomia')

@dragonyanglong You are completely correct. This would never work other than in Windows. I have made some updates along the lines of what you suggest and while at it improved the error messages to be more helpful. Also, Dysnomia may now be installed in one of three locations (the GSAS-II location, ~/ or ~/.GSASII/) as users may not always have write access to where GSAS-II is installed.

Please reopen if this needs more attention.
