Hospital Management Website

A full-stack Hospital Management platform built with Node.js, Express, MongoDB, and React. It supports role-based access for admins and doctors, appointment workflows, payment processing, email notifications, and AI-assisted appointment/chat features.

Getting Started

Prerequisites

• Node.js 18+
• npm
• MongoDB (local or Atlas)

1. Clone and install

git clone <your-repository-url>
cd HospitalM

Backend install

cd hospital-backend
npm install

Frontend install

cd ../hospital-frontend
npm install

2. Environment variables

Create a .env file in hospital-backend/:

PORT=5000
JWT_SECRET=your_jwt_secret

GOOGLE_CLIENT_ID=your_google_client_id
GOOGLE_CLIENT_SECRET=your_google_client_secret
GOOGLE_CALLBACK_URL=http://localhost:5000/api/auth/google/callback

Create a .env file in hospital-frontend/:

VITE_COPILOT_API_KEY=your_copilotkit_public_api_key

Note: API base URL is currently configured in hospital-frontend/src/config/api.js.

3. Run the project

Run backend:

cd hospital-backend
npm run dev

Run frontend:

cd hospital-frontend
npm run dev

Frontend default: http://localhost:5173
Backend default: http://localhost:5000
