In the annotation view, evaluator IDs are shown instead of the evaluator name and slug.

This appears related to a known pattern introduced by PR #4192 ("Mislabeled annotations", merged 2026-04-20), which standardized evaluator references to use IDs only instead of both ID and slug [1]. The change removed slug from evaluator references in components like ScenarioAnnotationPanel, AnnotateDrawer/transforms, and annotationFormController — but it seems the annotation view's display logic wasn't fully updated to resolve those IDs back to human-readable names.

Root cause: The annotation view renders metric keys directly from annotation.data?.outputs?.metrics without mapping IDs to display names [2]. Since PR #4192 removed slugs from references, the frontend now only has IDs available but lacks the resolution step.

Existing pattern to follow: The EvaluatorNamesCell component (introduced in PR #4015) already implements a proper fallback chain: name → slug → first 8 chars of ID by fetching evaluator metadata and resolving IDs [3]. This same resolution pattern could be applied to the annotation view components — specifically AnnotationTabItem [4] and the observability table metrics display [5].

This is also tracked in Linear as AGE-3610 (observability table) and AGE-3426 (evaluation SDK overview page) [6] [7].
