GhostBlur is a privacy-focused browser extension designed to help users protect sensitive information while screen sharing, recording videos, live streaming, presenting, or demonstrating web content.
Your privacy is extremely important to us. GhostBlur was built with a strict privacy-first philosophy and does not collect, transmit, sell, or share any personal data.

Used to interact with the currently opened webpage when the user activates blur features.
storage
Used to locally save blur preferences and blur rules inside the user's browser.
scripting
Used to inject blur functionality into webpages when requested by the user.
contextMenus
Used to provide right-click menu actions for quick blur controls.
How Data Is Stored
All settings, blur rules, and preferences are stored locally using Chrome's built-in storage APIs.
No cloud synchronization or external database is used.

Detection happens entirely on-device within the browser.
No detected information is transmitted, logged, or stored externally.
