--no-gitignore and gitignore: false, not working

--no-gitignore and gitignore: false, not working
have both. also tried true. still blocking adding of my test output log.
(log files blocked by git by default. i can tinker with ! file, but wanted to keep blocking git uploading, while still being able to give aider results)

Thanks for trying aider and filing this issue.

You can do /read <fname> or --read <fname> to load any file into aider, regardless of gitignore/aiderignore or from anywhere in your filesystem.

Can't add /home/user/ai/aiai/wsp/test/test_output.log which is in gitignore

regular files added fine:

im having some problem with the ai finding the read-only file..
