Hi, I'm Akshat 👋

Backend Developer at IBM, working on large-scale enterprise systems used in production.

I spend most of my time building APIs, fixing performance bottlenecks, and figuring out why something that should work… doesn’t 😄

💻 What I do

  • Build and maintain backend services using Node.js and Express
  • Design REST APIs that actually hold up under real usage
  • Optimize slow queries and improve system performance
  • Work on enterprise CRM systems (Siebel-based) used by multiple applications

⚡ A few things I’ve worked on

  • Reduced API response time by ~40% by optimizing queries and backend logic
  • Cut down manual reporting effort by ~50% by building automated SQL-based pipelines
  • Improved workflow processing time by ~60% through backend optimizations and automation

🛠 Tech I use often

  • Backend: Node.js, Express.js, REST APIs
  • Databases: MySQL, MongoDB, Redis
  • Cloud & Tools: AWS, Docker, CI/CD, Git

🧠 How I approach backend development

I care about:

  • Writing clean, maintainable code
  • Understanding how systems behave in production
  • Performance and scalability (not just “it works”)
  • Keeping things simple where possible

📌 What you’ll find here

I’m currently building and sharing backend-focused projects around:

  • Scalable API design
  • Caching & performance optimization
  • Real-world backend problems
