CloudLibrary for Windows

This repository hosts the CloudLibrary Windows installer and essential usage information for managing eBooks and audiobooks via your public library.


📌 Overview

CloudLibrary (formerly 3M Cloud Library) allows users to browse, borrow, and read digital library content using a Windows desktop application.


🔧 Features

  • Borrow up to 4 e-books, with a 2‑week loan period.
  • Compatible with multiple devices, including PC, Mac, iOS, Android, Kindle Fire, Chrome, and ADE‑compatible e‑readers .
  • Integration with Adobe Digital Editions (ADE) for DRM‑protected content.

🚀 Installation & Setup

  1. Run CloudLibrarySetup.exe to install the desktop app on Windows.
  2. Launch the app, then:
    • Select your country, state, and library.
    • Enter your library card ID and PIN.
  3. Accept the terms and log in
  4. During first launch, the application may ask to activate with ADE using:
    • Your existing Adobe ID or
    • The option to generate an Adobe ID automatically.

📚 How to Use

  • Browse & borrow titles using filters and search.
  • Download borrowed content for offline use.
  • Transfers:
    • Connect an ADE‑compatible eReader via USB.
    • Click "Transfer to device" in the My Books tab.
  • Return books early through My Books → List View → Return.
