Feature Request: Deep Optimization Ideas (AVX-512, Huge Pages, and No-Delay UI Tuning)

Hi Alex, gz83, and the Thorium team,

First of all, thank you so much for keeping Thorium the fastest browser on earth, especially with the recent quick M150 updates.

As a huge fan of Thorium's extreme compiler optimization philosophy, I would love to propose a few high-level technical ideas for future optimization benchmarks. I believe these match Thorium's "performance-first" identity perfectly:

1. Native AVX-512 Support

   • Provide a dedicated experimental build optimized strictly for AVX-512 (for newer Intel/AMD CPUs), maximizing 512-bit vector processing for heavy JS and video decoding.

2. Huge Pages Support / Enforcement

   • Implement an option to force Thorium to utilize Huge Pages (2MB or larger) for its memory allocation to significantly reduce TLB misses when opening multiple tabs.

3. Complete Zero-Delay UI Patches

   • Completely eliminate any artificial UI display delays or animations (e.g., right-click context menu rendering delay, popup triggers) via hardcoded source patches, aiming for absolute instant human perception.

4. Forced Pre-rendering / Predictive Hover Loading

   • Aggressively pre-render or pre-fetch link destinations based on mouse hover duration (e.g., if a user hovers over a link for >150ms), creating a perceived "zero-latency" navigation.

I understand these might significantly increase compilation complexity or build sizes, but for Thorium users who seek ultimate speed, this would be the ultimate dream.

I would love to hear your thoughts or any feedback on these ideas when you have time. Please reply to this thread and let me know what you think!

Thank you for the suggestions, but with all due respect, many of them are not actually practical and could easily lead to other issues and security risks. Additionally, an AVX-512 variant of Thorium has already been released, but do not expect earth-shattering performance gains; actual performance results vary from person to person.
