Following the release of MacOSCleaner 2.0.0, development has already begun on the next major update.

Version 2.1.0 is planned for release over the next few months and will focus on deeper macOS integration, smarter automation, and even better performance.
Here's a first look at what's coming.

🎙️ Siri & App Intents

MacOSCleaner will integrate directly with macOS through App Intents and App Shortcuts.
You'll be able to perform common maintenance tasks using Siri or the Shortcuts app, including:

• Clean Xcode, Homebrew, and Docker caches
• Check available storage
• Purge inactive memory
• Build automated maintenance workflows

🗂️ Duplicate File Finder

A brand-new Duplicate Finder is coming.
Using SHA-256 and BLAKE3 hashing, MacOSCleaner will accurately detect duplicate files while remaining fast even on large drives.
Smart recommendations will help identify unnecessary copies without risking important data.

📊 A Better Dashboard

The current storage visualization will be replaced with a Treemap, providing a clearer and more intuitive overview of disk usage.
The Dashboard will also gain a one-click Purgeable Memory widget for quickly reclaiming inactive RAM.

💎 Even More Native macOS

Version 2.1.0 continues refining the Liquid Glass experience with improved navigation, better typography, smoother animations, and closer alignment with the latest macOS design guidelines.

⚡ Faster Scanning Engine

The internal scanning engine is receiving a major architectural upgrade.
Benefits include:

• faster filesystem scanning;
• significantly lower memory usage;
• optimized application database;
• O(1) lookups for supported applications;
• improved Swift 6 concurrency.

🛠️ Built-in Maintenance Tools

Several native maintenance utilities are planned, including:

• DNS cache flushing;
• Spotlight reindexing;
• standard macOS maintenance scripts.

Administrator permissions will only be requested when required, using native macOS authorization APIs.

🤖 Smarter Apple Intelligence

Apple Intelligence will become even more helpful.
Instead of manually requesting explanations, MacOSCleaner will automatically provide on-device risk assessments before cleanup operations, helping users make safer decisions while keeping all processing private and local.
