Requesting feature to be able to redact text in the PDF.
Problem
There is currently the possibility to highlight with specific colours, or to draw, or to bring in a black image and resize it to cover text, but none of these are quite the same or as user-friendly/intuitive. There is no option (that I could see) to set a highlight colour of black with full opacity to hide text underneath.
Expectation
Similar to highlighter feature, be able to redact and hide text either by selecting text, or by drawing freely over things (redacting non-selectable text or other things). So basically like the highlighter but black at full opacity, I suppose.
Additional Notes
Extra security needed to prevent selection of text underneath after it has been redacted, if keeping it as a digital PDF? (Don't know about this stuff)
I created this GitHub account to request this, I unfortunately don't know how to code or anything to be able to contribute this myself. I've been searching for a nice, local, offline PDF software that didn't spam me with ads or hidden limits, and redacting is something I would like to have.
