Dark mode (and true black). Study Suite now has Light, Dark, and Black (OLED) modes. By
default it follows your device automatically — and you can pick whether "dark" means the regular
Dark or the deeper Black. You can also force any mode in Settings → Appearance.

Two color themes. Choose between Navy (the new default) and Warm (the original
paper-and-oxblood look) — each comes in all three modes.

Nicer switches. The on/off settings (and the pack toggles in your library) are now smooth sliding
toggles.

Study Suite has a new home: studysuite.app. That's the app's address
from now on – bookmark it, and use it when adding the app to your home screen.

Smoother prompts. Confirmations — like removing a pack or leaving a session partway through — and
little status messages now appear as clean in-app dialogs and toasts instead of the browser's own
pop-up boxes. (Browsers start blocking those after a while, so this is more reliable too.)

Quick changelog. The version number in the footer is now a link straight to these release notes
on GitHub.

Cleaner Topic Guides navigation. A few improvements to reading topic guides:

  • The topic list no longer covers the guide. Click the Topic Guides title at the top (note the
little ▾) any time to slide open the searchable list; it tucks away again as soon as you pick a
topic. It also starts closed now — so when you jump straight to a guide from a flashcard or a
question explanation, you land right on the content, with nothing in the way.
  • The ← Back button shows where it'll take you on a small second line — to Practice, to Exam,
to Review, or to Home — so you always know where you'll land before tapping it.

Now just "Study Suite." The app's name is officially Study Suite — the browser tab, header,
and home-screen icon all read that now.

Wording tidy-up. Freshened some of the language across the FAQ, the Coming soon list, and the
install steps — same features, just clearer (and a little cheekier) phrasing.

A heads-up about the road ahead. The "Coming soon" list now includes the plan to give Study
Suite its own home: once it's out of beta, it'll move off its current address to studysuite.app.
You'll get plenty of notice, and no data will be lost. (Accounts & sync and Anki import are still
on the list too.)

v0.2.28

A new FAQ, right on the home screen. Scroll to the bottom and you'll find two buttons —
Coming soon and FAQ. The FAQ answers the questions people actually ask: is it really
free, where your data lives and who can see it (no one but you), how to back up and move
between devices, offline use, installing it like an app, and making your own packs. It also
explains what's coming with accounts and sync — including how your data will be end‑to‑end
encrypted so I can't read it, and how sync will work as an optional, affordable add‑on.

Tidier footer. The old "Features coming soon" list now tucks neatly behind the Coming soon
button, so the home screen stays clean.

Search inside your topic guides. The Topic Guides search box now looks inside the
guides themselves, not just the titles. Type a term and you'll see matching topics plus
snippets showing where it comes up in the content — click a result to jump straight to that
spot, with the word highlighted.

Exams balance themselves. Exams now split evenly across your active study packs
automatically, and re-balance whenever you add or remove a pack — there's nothing to set up.
You can still fine-tune the mix in Settings if you'd like.

Fixes

  • Print / Save-as-PDF works again from the Topic Guides viewer.
  • The version number in the footer is now always accurate.
