- Python 3.8 or higher
- Internet connection (for API access)
- Clone this repository or download the source code
- Run the setup script:
setup_and_run.bat
This script will:
- Create a virtual environment
- Install all required dependencies
- Start the application
Alternatively, you can manually set up the environment:
# Create a virtual environment
python -m venv venv
# Activate the virtual environment
# On Windows:
venv\Scripts\activate
# On macOS/Linux:
source venv/bin/activate
# Install dependencies
pip install -r requirements.txt
# Run the application
python app.py- Open your browser and navigate to: http://127.0.0.1:5000
- Type your health question or describe your symptoms in the chat input
- Click the send button or press Enter to submit your query
- The AI will analyze your input and provide relevant information
- For symptom-related queries, you'll receive:

To add new symptoms to the database, edit the medical_data.py file and add new entries to the symptoms_db dictionary following the existing format.
To use your own Gemini API key, modify the GEMINI_API_KEY variable in app.py.
