can you add an option in setting to change the default build variant

for example i am building release only builds every time i open the app i should load the project then select release from build variant option this so frastrating , its better could be an option user can select wich default variant should the compiler concider each time the build process started unless the user change from debug to release or vs versa or at least make the debug variant enabled only if the option is enabled from dev options in settings

Not just in release app this is pain in ass when compiling a lot of submodules in project I need to switch in release all one by one. The easiest way is to compile it in Terminal.
