Feature Request: Add Taskbar Auto-Hide to Appearance Settings

I would like to request an Auto-Hide Taskbar option in the Appearance settings.

Proposed behavior

Add a setting such as:

Taskbar → Behavior → Auto-hide taskbar

When enabled:

• The taskbar remains completely hidden when it is not being used.
• Moving the mouse cursor to the edge of the screen where the taskbar is located makes it automatically appear.
• Moving the cursor away from the taskbar makes it automatically hide again.
• This should behave similarly to the "Automatically hide the taskbar" option in Windows.

Suggested options

Taskbar

Position:
  ○ Bottom
  ○ Top
  ○ Left
  ○ Right

Behavior:
  □ Automatically hide the taskbar
  □ Show taskbar when pointer reaches screen edge

It would be useful to have this integrated directly into the Appearance application rather than requiring users to install or configure an extension manually.

This would make the taskbar behavior easier to discover and configure, especially for users who prefer a clean desktop with maximum available screen space.

It would be a nice feature to help prevent burn-in on OLED displays.

Download one of the .po files, update the translations, rename the file to match your locale code (such as de.po or en.po), and submit a pull request.

That’s interesting; the Dash to Panel version you shared here comes from a different repository than the one we use in AnduinOS, since the one you posted is fully translated into my language.
On the other hand, the Dash to Panel version we have installed— https://github.com/home-sweet-gnome/dash-to-panel —has an incomplete translation for my language.
