Game crashes null input

After giving a null input (hitting enter twice) on the save slot screen the game crashes.

This is a duplicated bug report regarding unhandled exception of invalid input. I understand the issue but please use empty string instead of null input!

The 'Original' Bug

Program crashes when user types in a non-numerical value when prompted to load a save slot

Steps to recreate:

1. Launch application
2. Type '2' to select "Load Game" option
3. When prompted to load a save slot, enter a non-numerical input such as 'h'

Expected Outcome:
Program should prompt user with an error message and specify only integer values 1,2,3 is accepted.
According to the UG, the game should prompt for a valid input as a response to invalid input.

Actual Output:
Program crashes with the below exception message. This can be a big issue if the user mistyped inputs when trying to load a save file.

Thank you all for alerting on this bug.
The UI should be handling invalid input properly but as seen, Integer.parseInt(input:String) threw NumberFormatException when the input:String is not an integer.
