[Enhancement]: Stop freezing for update check

What would you like to see improved or added?

Make the program not freeze upon checking for updates.

What is the current behavior or limitation?

The program freezes the entire loading of the mod list when it is checking updates, the more mods the slower it is.

What is the desired behavior or outcome?

The program should run updates in the background or adjust the mod-list after its loaded. In any case it shouldn't freeze loading entirely.

How complex is this change?
