Codeman 1.33.2 is out. It's mostly fixes, and a couple of them were the annoying kind that looked random.
Phone tabs look like tabs. On a phone the header tab strip used to look switched off: grey text floating in a gap, nothing that said "tap me". Every tab is a chip now, names get more room, the Alt+N digit is gone (you can't press Alt on a phone anyway), and the strip fades at whichever edge still has tabs hidden past it.
Scroll up in a Shell pane and you get your history. When a command dumped a lot of output at once, a Shell tab kept about one screen of it and scrolling up went nowhere. Now scrolling to the top pulls the last 1 MB of that pane's tmux history, and Load full history still gets you the rest. Thanks @timkjr.
A Git identity for the Docker images. Set
GIT_USER_NAMEandGIT_USER_EMAILindocker/.envand commits made in the server container and in your Docker cases carry that name. Thanks @opticon454.Prompts sent through the API actually send. If you drive Codeman from a script, a bot or curl, a longer prompt could land in the composer and just sit there while the API said 200. Claude Code reads a long burst of text as a paste, so the Enter at the end became a newline. Short prompts went through, which is why it looked random. Plain prompts now go through tmux with Enter pressed as its own key, and the server presses it again if the prompt is still sitting there. Cron jobs in "Paste (direct)" mode had the same problem and are fixed too.
A tab stays busy while Claude waits for its own workers. When Claude hands work to background agents or an ultracode workflow, it ends its turn with "Waiting for 1 dynamic workflow to finish" and picks up again by itself later. Codeman used to call that idle and tell you it was done. Now the tab stays busy through the wait.
Scrolling works in Claude's default view again. Wheel and touch scrolling were sent to Claude as mouse events, but only Claude's fullscreen mode listens for those, so in the normal inline view scrolling did nothing at all. They now go to Claude only while it's actually tracking the mouse. Thanks @JDProfresh, who measured it in tmux to prove where it broke.
Waiting on artifact comments counts as waiting on you. An agent that publishes an artifact and waits for your comments now raises the normal "needs you" alert instead of looking busy. Thanks @irisitymichaelgrundberg.
CLIs you install from Settings survive Docker updates. On the Compose setup, DeepSeek, Pi and anything else installed from Settings got wiped every time the container was rebuilt. They live on your persistent home mount now. Thanks @opticon454. Compose users: this release changes
server.Dockerfile, so the updater will ask you to rebuild withdocker/Start-Codeman.sh, and whatever you'd installed from Settings needs installing once more after that.Multi-user: your web tabs stay yours. Other users got notified, ids included, whenever you created, edited or deleted a web tab. Now only you and the admins hear about it. Thanks @aakhter.
For contributors. CI now fails if a test that needs a real browser ends up in
npm test, andnpm installsets up a pre-push hook that runs the quick CI checks before you push (CODEMAN_SKIP_PREPUSH=1 git pushskips it once). Thanks @aakhter.Release notes: https://github.com/Ark0N/Codeman/releases/tag/codeman@1.33.2
To update: Settings, System, Updates in the app, or re-run the install line.
Thanks: @aakhter, @opticon454, @timkjr, @JDProfresh, @irisitymichaelgrundberg.
