Codeman 1.41.1 is out. It's a patch number, but it carries 24 PRs, 18 of them from eight contributors (three of them first-timers). The two things I wanted most: an
.htmlfile an agent made now opens as a real page, and a.mdpath clicked in the terminal opens the rendered viewer instead of the "streaming" log window.HTML files open as pages. Agents write HTML all the time: test reports, coverage pages, little dashboards. Click the path and the File Viewer now shows the page itself, with its scripts, styles, images and data files, instead of raw source. A Page pill flips to the source and its Edit button. The page runs sandboxed: it can't see Codeman's cookies, can't call Codeman's API and can only read files from its own folder. It can reach the network, so a chart that pulls Chart.js from a CDN draws like it would on your desktop. Big folders like your home,
/,/tmpor a mounted drive are refused as a page's folder, so give a report a folder of its own. Huge thanks to @ideaCompany, a first-time contributor, who built this and wrote up exactly why it's safe.Markdown opens rendered from the terminal. A
.mdor.markdownpath printed in the terminal now opens the rendered markdown viewer everywhere: the main terminal, tiles, the split pane, and a tap on a phone. The MD pill still shows the source. Logs,.txt,.jsonand code keep the live log viewer.codeman mcp. Codeman now speaks MCP. Add it to Claude Code, Codex, Gemini CLI, Cursor or Claude Desktop and that client can start worker sessions in any agent CLI you have installed, prompt them, wait for them and read what they did. By default it only touches sessions it started, and it never acts on the session it runs in. Setup lines are in the README and on the wiki page Driving Codeman From An Agent. The codeman skill for every agent CLI. With Codeman Agent Skill on (App Settings, Agents & CLIs, still off by default), Codex, Gemini, OpenCode, Antigravity, Grok, DeepSeek and OMP sessions get the same skill Claude Code had, so an agent in any mode knows how to start and manage workers.
Tear a tile off into its own window. Turn on Detach Tiles (App Settings, Appearance, off by default) and drag a tile's header out of the window: it pops out on its own. Drop it on another Codeman window's tiles and it moves there. With the camera gesture overlay on, you can also pinch a tile and carry it to swap it with another.
Clickable paths, everywhere. @Randalix made
~/paths, paths relative to the session folder and paths that wrap across terminal lines clickable, in the terminal and the Response Viewer. Folders are clickable too: they open a grid of the files inside, which you can flip through with the arrow keys, handy for a folder full of renders.Shells and remote sessions keep their history. @timkjr fixed the shell reload that repeated your prompt four or five times and lost lines after a resize: shell tabs and tiles now reload from what tmux actually shows. Remote SSH sessions now load their full scrollback from the remote tmux instead of the scraps the local pane kept, with nothing lost where the two meet. And on a phone, pasting a multi-line block into a shell no longer runs it line by line.
Tabs. @aakhter added a Focus section at the top of the vertical rail for the tabs you keep coming back to, a New session item in a tab group's menu, and an option to keep spawned tabs next to their parent. They also made the mouse wheel and touch page through a Codex transcript, in the main terminal and in tiles.
Phone uploads and the prompt cache. @JDProfresh added an Attach button to the phone toolbar that opens the file sheet without the keyboard in the way, and camera-roll videos now upload like images. Claude sessions also show whether their prompt cache is still warm, in the footer and in Session Options.
Clipboard from inside a session. @zomby1, a first-time contributor, made OSC 52 copies reach your browser's clipboard, so Claude Code's
/copy, a tmux yank or vim reach you even from a box with no display.Faster tab switches. Switching back to a fullscreen Claude tab now loads only its current screen, which saves over a second per switch, and the "Showing the most recent 1.0 MB" bar only shows up when there really is older history and you scroll up looking for it.
Fixes. @opticon454 made tab colour, pin and image watcher survive a restart, added a Working folder row with a Copy button to Session Options, and made Link Existing say why it refused a folder. @Hugo-DDT, another first-time contributor, fixed MCP server sync for Gemini's bare
urland OpenCode's newer config layout andopencode.jsonc, and made DeepSeek permission prompts say "Answer in the terminal" instead of offering buttons that couldn't work..xlsxfiles written by openpyxl with a comment, table or chart now preview. And while landing all this we fixed a few things the reviews turned up, among them remote and Docker tabs that would have lost their scrollback on a tab switch, and a bare~in a Docker case that listed the host's home folder.Release notes: https://github.com/Ark0N/Codeman/releases/tag/codeman%401.41.1
