Drift 1.3.0 — the big one. (Formerly Cream / Solace.)
Highlights
- Rebranded to Drift with a new logo. Existing data migrates automatically.
- Vertical tabs — a solid Arc-style left rail, plus Compact mode that auto-hides the rail (or the top toolbar) and reveals it on hover.
- Web-app side panel — Instagram / WhatsApp / Discord / TikTok (add your own) in a slide-out panel, each with its own persistent login.
- Three modes — Normal, Lightweight, and a true zero-distraction Minimal.
- Glass theme — Windows 11 acrylic translucency across the whole window, with a live translucency slider (Appearance → Glass).
- Sleeping tabs — idle background tabs are discarded to free memory and reload on click.
- New Layout settings tab; modern Inter typography throughout.
Fixes
- Bookmarks bar: favicons + titles, right-click menu with Rename (no more accidental delete).
- Context menus dismiss on any outside click, including over the new-tab page.
- Theme toggle preserves your chosen theme (Arctic, Sepia, …) instead of resetting.
- Interactive brand logo (click to go home).
Performance
- Glass off by default; background tabs throttle; GPU acceleration enabled; Lightweight mode launches in low-end-device mode.
