enabling "Invert scroll direction" does nothing

In the default Desktop installation, when I go to the Mouse settings page and click "invert scroll direction" it doesn't actually invert the scroll direction and just stays the same.

This is on: 2020 M1 MacBook Air

Never mind! Turns out I had to change it in the touchpad settings, not the mouse settings.
