[Bug]: Cannot enable islands layout

The entire islands settings menu is disabled

To Reproduce

Go the islands tab, everything is disabled

Expected behavior

Enable islands layout

yes, although it was working till I last updated it. Didn't realize it was moved to a paid plan

It was on trial mode until version 10.5.0

I also have this issue - it would be a shame if this feature was stuck behind a paywall, especially considering this islands UI is now the official look for IntelliJ.

Yes, since this is globally available the option to enable it will be open. However, the customization features will still retain its premium status.

I don't understand what you mean by that. Will the option be enabled in a future update without any customizations for free tier users?
Even if I select the islands dark theme it doesn't work as long as I have the material theme UI plugin enabled, so I need to disable it to use the islands theme which is a shame because I really like the material darker editor theme :(
