How to run:

• Download HeatedMetalInstaller.exe
• Put it anywhere you want.
• Run it.
• Choose your Shadow Legacy directory.
• Check for updates.

How to use:

1. Download update_checker.exe
2. Move update_checker.exe to your Shadow Legacy root folder
3. Run update_checker.exe the next time there is a new release in the Heated Metal repository.

Alternatively:

• Create a "versions.txt" in the root of your Shadow Legacy folder.
• inside of versions.txt put the current version that you have installed. eg I went from 0.0.3.1 to latest (0.0.5.1 as of 2/11/2025 3:27 PM CST) so I put inside the versions.txt "0.0.3.1" and the script will know to upgrade to the latest version.
• The script generates a versions.txt the first time you run it, if it does not already exist.
