workloadidentity option works with User-Assigned-Managed-Identity?

I'd like to ask if workloadidentity option works with User-Assigned-Managed-Identity?
I'm testing my auth setup using Workload Identity with uami, which works for NewDefaultAzureCredential but doesn't seem to work with kubelogin.
On the other hand, using AAD Applicaiton&Service Principle worked as https://github.com/weinong/azure-federated-identity-samples shows.
I wonder if this is due to my setup mistake or kubelogin limitation.
