Prompt-Armor License Made by Belkis PWA Ready GitHub Pages


One character changed = prompt self-destructs.

Encode your AI prompts into tamper-evident blocks.

The Problem

You spend hours crafting the perfect AI prompt. Then one of these happens:

Someone copies your prompt, changes a few words, and claims it as their own. Your intellectual work is stolen in seconds.

An end user modifies your embedded prompt, breaking the intended behavior of your product. You get the blame.

Normal prompts have zero protection. Anyone can edit them silently. Until now.

The AI will generate a complete SaaS landing page.

Now change one character inside the ARMOR BLOCK (e.g. change RHU to RHX) and paste again. The AI will refuse execution.


Three Layers of Protection

Layer 1 -- System Instruction Wrapper

A strict preamble tells the AI to decode the Base64 block and execute it exactly as written. If decoding fails, the AI must refuse execution and respond with a standardized integrity failure message.

The wrapper creates a behavioral contract between the armor block and the AI model.

Layer 2 -- Base64 Payload

The actual prompt is Base64-encoded. Base64 maps every 3 bytes to 4 characters across bit boundaries.

Changing one character shifts the bit alignment from that point forward, producing garbled output. The padding structure (=) at the end also serves as an additional integrity indicator.

Layer 3 -- Full SHA-256 Integrity Hash

The complete SHA-256 hash (64 hex characters) of the Base64 string is stored in the header.

Even if someone manages to produce valid Base64 that decodes to a coherent alternative prompt, the hash will not match. The full hash enables manual verification independent of any AI model:

The real verification mechanism is you -- copy the Base64 body into sha256sum and compare. The AI's behavioral contract is an additional layer, not the only one.

What This Is (And What It Is Not)

Prompt-Armor is tamper-evidence, not encryption.

  • It detects when someone has modified a prompt
  • It does not hide the prompt contents (Base64 can be decoded by anyone who knows what it is)
  • The AI behavioral contract depends on the model following system instructions
  • Think of it as a tamper-evident seal on a package: it proves whether someone has opened it, not what is inside

This is an honest, transparent approach. No snake oil. The strength comes from the combination of Base64 fragility, hash verification, and the system instruction contract.

Key insight: The SHA-256 hash provides a verification mechanism that works independent of any model. Even if a model ignores the system instruction, you can always verify integrity manually with sha256sum. The behavioral contract is an additional layer -- not the only protection.
