TrueRotate v1.0.0-beta
TrueRotate v1.0.0-beta — public beta build.
A Windows system-tray app that rotates displays (0 / 90 / 180 / 270°) via global hotkeys or the tray menu, and fixes the long-standing NVIDIA bug where rotating a display after the NVIDIA app touches any display setting leaves the mouse moving along the wrong axis (with unreachable "dead zones").
⚠️ Beta — verified on an NVIDIA RTX 5060 Ti, dual-monitor, Windows 11. Please report issues on other GPUs, DPIs, or monitor counts. (RunTrueRotate.exe diagfrom a terminal to attach diagnostics to a report.)
Install
- Download
TrueRotate-v1.0.0-beta-win-x64.zip - Extract it anywhere
- Run
TrueRotate.exe
No installer, no admin, and no .NET runtime needed (self-contained). It lives in the system tray — check the hidden-icons ^ overflow.
Highlights
- Global rotation hotkeys (
Ctrl+Alt+Shift+Arrows, rebindable) + optional per-monitor dedicated hotkeys - Optional cycle hotkey — one key steps 0 → 90 → 180 → 270
- Auto-reapply — undoes external orientation resets through the cured path
- Fluent settings: rotate target (cursor / primary / all monitors), per-monitor hotkeys, start-with-Windows, restore-defaults
- CLI:
list/set/test/diag(recovery + diagnostics)
⚠️ Important
Rotate from TrueRotate (hotkeys / tray menu), not the NVIDIA app or Windows Settings — those paths reintroduce the bug. See the README.
