Limitless pendant: large offline recordings fail to create conversations after sync

Device: Limitless pendant connected to Omi app
Transcription: Tested with both on-device and OpenAI Whisper

Steps to reproduce:

1. Record ~20 hours of offline audio on Limitless pendant
2. Connect to Omi app and sync
3. Press Start to process audio
4. Green synced message appears

Expected: New conversations appear in the app
Actual: No new conversations show up. Force-closing and reopening the app causes the audio to reappear as needing sync, suggesting the data is present but processing fails.

Notes:

• Short recordings synced fine previously
• Issue appears specific to large offline recording batches
• Reproducible with both on-device and cloud transcription

Additional context: Limitless is no longer allowing new account signups, so users cannot use the Limitless app as a workaround to offload/download recordings. This makes fixing the Omi sync path more urgent since it's the only way to get data off the pendant.

  This suggests backlog state may not clear / may be mis-reading pendant storage state.

Issue happens reliably every week after ~2 days of pendant idle time (weekend non-use). User currently works around it by unpairing the pendant (which deletes audio). Suggests time-based state drift or timestamp sync issue.

Multiple users have reported this, but we're missing trace data for all of them. To investigate the backend processing failures:

For any affected user:

1. Redacted user UUID (Omi app → Settings → Profile → bottom, redact middle, e.g. abc1...9xyz)
2. Date and time of the most recent failed sync attempt
3. How many hours of offline audio were in the batch
4. App version (iOS version from recent comment: v1.0.524 — is that still current?)

The recent comment mentions @sevik The Degen hits this weekly after ~2 days of pendant idle time. If they can provide their UUID + date of the most recent failure, that's the best trace candidate since it's reproducible.

The workaround (turn off pendant before sync) suggests the issue may be related to active BLE connection state during sync — but we need server logs to confirm.
