About Flywheel

Flywheel is a free and open source alternative to Android Auto, primarily intended for de-Googled phones. It aims to be compatible with existing Android Auto compatible headunits.

Flywheel is still in active development.

Interoperability

  • Targets compatibility with the protocol used by Android Auto

Security and Privacy

  • Phone must be unlocked at least once after connection to access UI
