I'm Thomas and I love building robots.
I have 2 friends, Ankitt and Farooq. I wanted to share the robots I built with them.

However, we're in 3 different countries, Ankitt is in India, Farooq is from Canada, and I'm in Florida. So I built BentoBot as a way for all 3 of us to control robots and have fun.
This eventually grew into the World's most accessible combat robotics we call it.
I built 3 combat robotics & people from all around the world controlled them in fights with sub-500ms end-to-end latency.
We did 17 live-stream fights. 100+ players from Canada, India, Netherland, USA, Columbia, etc.
There was fun to be had, stories to be shared.
We made a Dutch alcoholic gave up on drinking.
(Now he's addicted to robot fights and occasionally, weed)
We helped a mother of two gain the courage to pursue chemotherapy to live longer.
We made a few churches in India fun again on Sunday.
And for many, this was the most fun they have had with robotics in years.
For something built by a guy in a bedroom for 2 weeks, that has been the proudest creation of mine.
Due to the logistics and time constraints, I have retired Bentobot. However, I believe it can be useful to the world.
I'm open-sourcing the whole codebase (website, streaming backend, frontend, robot CAD design) so the next guy/gal can start their own robot fight.
There are 3 robots built & frequently used in the fights.
- Website: Github Repo
- Streaming Backend: For 50 ppl or lessor to scale further
- Frontend & Robot control: Github Repo
- Robot CAD Design: Onshape
