Add gnuplot script in example directory

@ktras assuming you used gnuplot to produce Figure 1 (below) in our ISS25 paper, please add your script to the example/ directory and submit a pull request against themain branch. I'd like to generate some plots at intermediate times along the way to convergence for purposes of discussions with some people at the workshop I'm attending through tomorrow morning.
