Nano Banana 2.1 is now supported on LiteLLM

Generate and edit images with gemini-nano-banana-2.1 through the LiteLLM AI Gateway on Google AI Studio (gemini/) and Gemini Enterprise Agent (vertex_ai/), via /v1/images/generations, /v1/images/edits and /chat/completions.

Nano Banana 2.1 Pricing:

• Image Output: $30 / MTok ($0.0336 per 1K image)
• Text Input: $1.50 / MTok
• Text Output: $7.50 / MTok

Worth checking before you route traffic to it:

The Gemini API shuts down gemini-3.1-flash-image on October 29, 2026, so move those routes to gemini-nano-banana-2.1. Function calling and structured outputs are not supported. Batch works on vertex_ai/ only through LiteLLM.

Pricing landed in PR #44868 and PR #44892. Reload your pricing in the UI under Models + Endpoints -> Price Data -> Reload Price Data (or POST /reload/model_cost_map as an admin), on any version v1.76.0 or newer.
