This article will teach you how to identify if you're using Pterodactyl and is only meant for people who are on a shared hosting environment (Minecraft hosting services from a hosting company) and are unable to identify this for themselves.

We've also included a list of popular hosting companies and whether or not they use Pterodactyl as their panel.

How to check if I am using Pterodactyl

1. Have a look at the panel's design.

Some Pterodactyl installations might have the default theme installed. This means the panel will look pretty much like this:

2. Check the footer.

This is usually the best way to spot a Pterodactyl installation since many hosting companies will change how the panel looks, rendering the first method useless. Normally, the footer will include the following:
