Satellite image quality

Hi, first of all, congratulations on the great work you've done so far. I wanted to ask if the satellite imagery is of poor quality due to a technical limitation or if this is a bug/something that still needs to be optimized and improved. Best regards :)

If you mean it can't get super granular, then yes, it's a technical limitation of the sources available to us. The guys like Palantir who can see the boogers in your nose from space have access to insane technology that isn't open and available to the public. If anyone has additional sources, please let me know. I am currently working on incorporating some publicly available European satellite data. Hopefully, those fare better.

Thanks for the confirmation, let's hope Palantir makes its software open source😂😂, just kidding.
I searched but found no further sources for live satellite images.

You would think by now some non profit would have an open source satellite available to the public for live images but no. Only satellites that can be directly controlled by the government are allowed up there. Google earth 100% has the capability to show insanely high quality images, but they purposefully ruin the image to try and keep that feature "proprietary" for the government and "private research".
