MedFund - Medical Crowdfunding on Cardano

MedFund is a decentralized platform for medical crowdfunding built on the Cardano blockchain, designed to provide transparent and secure fundraising for medical expenses.

Getting Started

Prerequisites

• Node.js 18.x or higher
• pnpm (recommended) or npm
• Cardano wallet extension (Eternl, Nami, Lace, etc.)
• Blockfrost API key (for Cardano blockchain interaction)
• Clerk account (for authentication)

Installation

1. Clone the repository:

   git clone https://github.com/yourusername/medfund.git
   cd medfund

2. Install dependencies using pnpm:

   pnpm install

3. Create a .env.local file in the root directory with the following variables:

   # Mesh SDK Configuration
   NEXT_PUBLIC_MESH_CLIENT_ID=your_mesh_client_id_here
   NEXT_PUBLIC_MESH_AUTO_CONNECT=true
   
   # Clerk Authentication
   NEXT_PUBLIC_CLERK_PUBLISHABLE_KEY=your_clerk_publishable_key
   CLERK_SECRET_KEY=your_clerk_secret_key
   NEXT_PUBLIC_CLERK_SIGN_IN_URL=/login
   NEXT_PUBLIC_CLERK_SIGN_UP_URL=/register

4. Start the development server:

   pnpm dev

5. Open http://localhost:3000 in your browser.

• Preferred Wallet: Save your preferred wallet in your user profile
