New firmware v2026.04.27 not working with Amiga 3000 onboard SCSI #366

Can you provide a log/debug log an any ini settings you have set? Do you know the SCSI Chip used on the Amiga 3000 board? There was a ton of spec fixes in this release so I did expect something might break but we should be able to narrow it down. RE: BlueSCSI Toolbox not working is odd - again a debug log will help diagnose. |

Hi, the SCSI chip is the original 'prototype' WD33C93A-PL00-04 that Commodore stuck in at factory, so might be a contributing factor. I've ordered a Western Digital 08 which should arrive in the next few days. It looks like from what I can see (being a complete novice) I am getting Watchdog timeouts, causing a SCSI bus reset. With the new firmware, I am getting this fairly often from boot, although it did boot a few times, so is sporadic. With the older firmware, it boots fine every time but when using the Toolbox, I get the same Watchdog timeout and the computer freezes (SCSI activity light constantly on). I've also noticed that the SCSI speed is slightly slower with the older firmware it is 2,086,026 bytes/sec, but with the new firmware it is 1,841,761 bytes/sec. Ini settings are: I hope this helps, if you need any other info, please ask. |

Overview +11 Further to this, a quick AI search shows the below - I’ll run the debug again once I have the new SCSI controller chip installed and report back with the results. A "SCSI Watchdog" error on an Amiga 3000 typically indicates that the operating system has lost communication with the onboard SCSI controller, leading to a timeout or failure to receive an expected interrupt. This is frequently caused by improper termination, faulty cabling, or issues with the WD33C93A SCSI chip. Here is a guide to troubleshooting this issue:1. Component and Device IssuesChip Version: Older versions of the Western Digital SCSI chip (rev 04) are known to be buggy. Upgrade to the WD33C93A-08 or AMD equivalent for better compatibility. |

Agreed, it does not have any context with the release. It does however inform me of an unrelated possible issue that may cause me other issues. If anything, it will allow me to test the firmware under both revisions of the SCSI controller chip. |

Hi all, I've downloaded the new Universal firmware v2026.04.27 for my BlueSCSI v2 Desktop which I have connected to the onboard SCSI controller of my Amiga 3000, and it will not read the hard disk .hda image files properly and I get solid activity light and black screen.
It works fine on all previous firmware versions including BlueSCSI_Universal_2026-03-01_d4a38955.uf2.
Is this a problem with the new firmware? I flashed it with BlueSCSI_V2_Universal_2026-04-27_cd0e84b.uf2.
Also, on whatever Firmware version I've used, I cannot get the Amiga ToolKit to work on either CD selection or file transfer - it just causes the SCSI to freeze and I have to restart the computer.
Many thanks, Matt
