Most of the time, users think they need the Spotify Module to display songs. This is a common misunderstanding.
- Go to the Integrations tab.
- Scroll all the way down to the MediaLink module.
- Enable MediaLink to display music from any streaming service that runs through the Windows Sound API.
-
A common cause for this is that OSC is not enabled in your VRChat options.
- Open your action wheel by pressing the R key.
- Go to Options.
- Open the OSC settings.
- Turn the OSC Service to Enabled.
-
If it still does not work, check whether the VR or Desktop field is glowing on each module inside the Integrations tab.

Yes, you can use the software standalone. You will need your VR headset and at least a low-performance laptop, for example when using it with your Quest.
- Make sure your VR headset is ready to connect.
- Use a device that can run the required software setup.
- Follow the standalone setup guide in the Wiki: Standalone-Setup.
- This might be because the software is already running in the background. Check the tray icon folder at the bottom right of Windows.

Don't worry, the wording is pretty easy to understand. If a user or employee uses these terms, this is what they mean:
- Software means the complete MagicChatbox tool you are using.
- Module means the features you can toggle, such as Personal Status, Media Link, or Component Stats.
- Integration means either a full folder of modules or an external add-on added to the software.
-
No, everything provided within the software complies with VRChat's Terms of Service. We have a department that regularly makes sure it stays up to date with them.
- MagicChatbox is designed to stay within VRChat's rules.
- The software is regularly checked for Terms of Service compliance.
- Officially, Tupper also stated: "Does MagicChatbox break TOS?: Nope."
