Assign roles/permissions based on Okta group

Is it possible to assign users to roles/permissions based on Okta group? We are deploying as a primary documentation system in an organization with 1000's of users and it would be painful to manage permissions manually.

Can the goal of this request already be achieved via other means?

The request here is very similar to the request in #2146, at least my response will be the same in that I don't really want to expand group support to our social auth systems.

Would Okta be your primary authentication system? If so our SAML2/OIDC options may be better suited. The SAML2 option currently supports group sync, the OIDC option does not yet but will likely in the future.

In my video here I show the full process of setting up and using SAML2 authentication on Okta, including group syncing and other potential considerations.

Hi Dan, Looking back, I wonder how I missed that video. I watched it several times and not only did it help me get Group Sync set up (my original question) but it helped me deal with several other issues. Good job man! I really appreciate it! Thanks, Doug.
