Custom PlantUML Server seems not to work #2733

Description

In Short: It seems a custom PlantUML URL is not used at all.

My environment:

  • Up-to-date Arch Linux
  • boostnote 0.11.12-1 installed from AUR
  • I'm behind a firewall, so I need to go through a proxy to get access to external web servers. Here the environment variables "http_proxy" and "https_proxy" are set accordingly.
  • I've tried to run a local PlantUML server which seems to work fine: When I open the URL (http://localhost:8080/plantuml) within a web browser the PlantUML page appears.

Now I've entered the above URL to "PlantUML Server" within BoostNote's interface settings and first it seems that it also works -- my diagram was rendered probably. However, to check if the right server is used, I've just unset both proxy environment variables and restarted Boostnote. Now the digrams were not rendered anymore, but a "broken document" icon appears left of the text "uml diagram".

Best regards from Germany,
Peter
