Getting Started

RYUG has no build step and no dependencies to install. The only thing the browser fetches from the network is Bootstrap, which loads from a CDN.

Run the live demo

Open https://brandonrobare.github.io/ryug-store/ in any modern browser.

Run it locally

1. Download or clone the project folder.
2. Open index.html in a browser to start at the login gate.
3. Enter anything as the username and use the password password123. A correct password sends you to home.html.

You can also open home.html directly to skip the login gate, since the login check is client-side only.

Optional: serve over a local web server

Opening the files straight from disk works for the pages and the search, flip, and scroll features. If the embedded unboxing video on the home page misbehaves under the file:// protocol, serve the folder instead:

python -m http.server

Then visit http://localhost:8000/index.html.

Browser support

The site relies on standard ES6 and CSS that current versions of Chrome, Firefox, Edge, and Safari all support. The discount tiles use 3D CSS transforms, so a very old browser would show the tiles without the flip animation.
